Swacch Bharat & Hygiene

Community volunteers conducting cleanliness and hygiene drives under the Swachh Bharat Mission supported by Kram Yog Sewa Sadan

Overview

Cleanliness, clean water, and access to proper sanitation are cornerstones of public health and national progress. The Swachh Bharat (Clean India) Mission is not just a government program but a national movement. Kram Yog Sewa Sadan's Swacch Bharat & Hygiene initiatives work to create clean public spaces, install modern waste sorting infrastructure, and upgrade sanitation facilities in schools to promote healthy habits.

Through community sanitation drives and hygiene education, we seek to inspire citizens to take ownership of public spaces and build clean, disease-free environments.

Key Projects

  • Sanitation Drives: Organizing clean-up campaigns in public parks, streets, and water bodies with corporate volunteers and community members.
  • Waste Segregation Bin Installation: Supplying color-coded waste and recycling bin units to markets and municipal schools to encourage segregation at source.
  • School Toilet Renovations: Upgrading and repairing toilets in government schools to ensure separate, functional, and clean facilities for boys and girls, reducing dropout rates among girls.
  • Hygiene & Handwashing Campaigns: Delivering interactive handwashing demonstrations and personal hygiene kits to children in rural areas.

"Cleanliness is next to godliness. By renovating school toilets and organizing clean-up drives, Kram Yog Sewa Sadan is turning the vision of a Swachh Bharat into a grassroots reality for thousands of children."

Our Impact

Our hygiene initiatives have successfully renovated toilet blocks in over 30 government schools, ensuring secure and clean sanitation facilities. Kram Yog Sewa Sadan volunteers have also conducted over 100 community clean-up drives, collecting tons of plastic waste for recycling and introducing sustainable waste sorting systems in dense public markets.
